According to the US Department of Agriculture, global beef production in 2022 will be 58.69 million tonnes. The data, presented on 8 April 2022, shows that the USA is the largest beef producer with 12.63 million tonnes (21.5% market share of beef producers worldwide). It is followed by Brazil with 9.85 million tonnes (16.8% market share), China with 7.1 million tonnes (12.1% market share). The European Union (EU-27) ranks 4th in beef production with 6.8 million tonnes (11.6% market share).
